How Wallabee App was created from concept to reality.

The Brief

Wallabee aim is to build a successful food application which will be available on both mobile and web platforms respectively. When the company started 2016 it was merely an extra feature with no delivery system enabled. But in 2019 with increasing market demand, the wallabee team had to lauch its product which was restricted to a particular location.

After we had our first conversation, I join the team to share some expert insights and ideas which was our very first step. I had to break some misconceptions, looking at what we can achieve with the existing brand assets.

Going back to the brand assets to establish Consistency across the brand, and building upon the foundation of the product to create a memorable experience for the user. After building the Ui kits and design system I also included the sketch symbols, text styles, motion guidelines and color palette which allows me work faster while maintaining brand Consistency.

Within 2days the web and mobile templates were both ready. I shared the templates to the team via anima for collaboration and editing. we concluded the project and i was so happy with the end result.

Collaboration makes things work better

One thing i enjoyed when working on this project is the ability to inspire other team mates which contributes largely to the development of the project. I really enjoyed working with the wallabee team, going back and forth until we got the design system to a point we are proud of. It was truely a collaborative effort.
